Daniela Burr is a Mexican designer and art director working in Bali, Indonesia. She is a partner at the Ubud-based multidisciplinary studio Elami & Co.

After graduating from Pratt Institute and working in New York City for three years, Daniela embarked on a one-year sabbatical, solo-traveling around the world, from Morocco to Southeast Asia, and then back around to Bolivia and Perú. After witnessing a burst of inspiration at TEDxZurich back in 2010, Daniela founded TEDxUbud in Bali. In an unknown country, a world of new possibilities was born, a new life path was created. Daniela’s 10-year involvement in TED is characterized by a desire to create personal connections and relationships. Her deep love for Balinese culture intertwines with that uncompromising creative approach that has been ever-present in her career. She calls Bali home and lives there with her husband and two kids, Oliver and Lucas.

“Life happens at the end of your comfort zone.”

“Creativity is a wild mind and a disciplined eye.”
